Donaldsonville, LA (November 18, 2024) – The Ascension and Donaldsonville Chambers of Commerce, in coordination with ACE officials, held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the company’ s new office located at 215 Railroad Avenue in historic downtown Donaldsonville. The office is centrally located for residents to seek information about the project, have their questions answered and connect with local project executives.
"We appreciate the opportunity to work with local officials and residents and value the positive response we have received thus far," said Vee Godley, ACE Senior Vice President, Project Development. "Our goal is to operate safely, responsibly and in an environmentally responsible way to provide clean energy the world needs. We have an open door policy and look forward to continued engagement with our local stakeholders," he added.
The ACE project is a world-scale clean hydrogen-ammonia production facility proposed for a 1,700-acre site at the RiverPlex MegaPark, near Modeste. It will initially produce 2.4 million metric tons per annum (MTPA) of clean ammonia, with expansion in subsequent phases to 7.2 MTPA. This estimated $7.5 billion project would generate significant investment and economic opportunity for the parish and entire region. Once fully operational, the project would bring an estimated 350 new permanent jobs, 1,500 construction jobs and more than 1,200 indirect jobs to the region. New tax revenues generated would support improvements to local schools, roads and public safety.
