Luis brings over 30 years of experience in the multinational energy, refining, and chemicals industry, primarily with BP. He most recently served as President & CEO of NOVA Chemicals, a $10 billion ethane-based chemicals leader operating in Canada and the U.S.
At Clean Hydrogen Works, Luis serves as a senior executive advisor, focusing on strategy, senior commercial relationships, capital project execution, and capital raising. He has held executive roles in M&A and commodities trading and was recognized in the 2022 ICIS Top 40 CEO Global Power Players. Luis has also served on the boards of the American Chemistry Council and the global Alliance to End Plastic Waste. Currently, he is a board member of Steel Dynamics, a $22 billion revenue recycled steel manufacturer (S&P 500, NASDAQ: STLD).
Luis Sierra holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida.
